About Me
Hi, my name is Sarah. I am a part-time nurse and part-time cake maker. TaGaSaS Cakes is a Council registered business, based in Whakatane NZ, so you can be assured that your cakes and cupcakes will be of the highest standard. I combine baking with work as a nurse so my availability is sometimes limited. Be in quick, with plenty of time before your event to secure the dates you need.
My Story
I began my cake journey as a hobby baker – baking for family and friends. When I began to get more requests for my cakes, I chose to get registered to legitimise my business. The name “TaGaSaS” is the initials of my family – Tessa and Geoff and Sarah and Simon. It is a bit of a mouthful to learn to say – Pronounced Tag-A-Sas, but it reminds me of the importance of my family and that I couldn’t do this without them.
